PRIVACY & SAFETY · TESTING VERSION
Clear about what stays,
and what you share.
This explains the current My First 999 prototype and this information website. Updated 1 November 2026. Features and handling may change as the app develops.
All calls and callbacks in the app are simulated. It cannot contact emergency services, send help, assess a real emergency or replace first-aid training. In a real emergency, use your phone’s normal calling function and follow the call handler’s instructions.
Speech and microphone access
The app does not keep call recordings or transcripts. When you choose spoken replies, speech is processed using on-device English (UK) recognition on supported devices. There is no cloud-recognition fallback. Microphone and speech permissions are optional; answer buttons are available instead.
Family and scene information
Family names, custom scenes, location practice and session details are held in the app’s working memory for the current experience rather than saved as a permanent profile. Use fictional details while beta testing. The app has no user account, in-app analytics or automatic feedback upload.
A preference is remembered
The app saves the selected voice preference on the device. This is why we don’t say that absolutely nothing is saved.
Certificates, cue cards and feedback
If a grown-up chooses to create a certificate or visual cue cards, the app creates temporary PDF files. These can include the optional name or text entered for the document and may remain until the operating system clears temporary files.
Sharing is optional and uses the device’s system sharing interface. Email, Files, printing or another chosen destination can retain what you share under that service’s own settings and privacy practices. Check the content before sharing. The adult feedback draft is held in memory; it is not automatically sent.
Apple TestFlight
TestFlight is operated by Apple. Apple handles tester information, diagnostics and feedback separately from the app’s own data handling. See Apple’s TestFlight information for details.
This website
This static website does not request microphone access and has no account, contact form, analytics script, advertising tracker or application storage. Its navigation and walkthrough work in your browser without submitting your answers or personal details.
The website host may process ordinary technical access logs, such as IP addresses and request information, to deliver and secure the site. Host-specific retention and contact details will be confirmed before the site launches publicly. Following an external link takes you to that service’s own website and privacy practices.
Designed for grown-ups and children together
A parent, carer or educator should prepare and supervise practice. The app is an independent educational project, not an official emergency-service product. No emergency-service endorsement is claimed. Rewards acknowledge practice and effort, not a qualification or proof that a child can handle a real emergency alone.
